While painting this artwork, I realized something profound…

Life sculpts us.

Just like a sculptor chisels stone, life chisels our soul through experiences — some beautiful, some painfully difficult.

This woman in my painting represents that journey.

She has walked through storms.
She has faced painful lessons.
She has experienced moments that could have broken her.

But instead of breaking her…

those experiences shaped her.

They made her stronger.
They made her wiser.
They made her courageous.

Her journey reminds me of Sita — a woman who endured immense trials, yet stood with grace, dignity, and unshakable inner strength.

At the bottom of the painting is the Earth.

To me, the Earth represents both the nurturer and the challenger.

Life nourishes us.
But it also tests us so we can grow.

From that Earth rises a flame — symbolizing transformation.

And at the top stands the woman…

Rising beyond her circumstances.
Looking toward a golden horizon filled with hope, faith, and belief.

Because sometimes life doesn’t shape us gently.

But if we allow it…

it shapes us into someone far more powerful than we ever imagined.

 The Painting Style & Technique:

It is a handmade Original Textured painting. Special care has been taken to prepare the surface of the canvas with a very thick primer. Various tools have been used to give it a textured look. I have used Acrylic Colour Alcohol ink, charcoal and Soft Pastel to make this painting.
